Review:

Well...that was something. I can’t quite put my finger on it but I feel like something was missing. That being said, of course I enjoyed this. It’s Noah Shaw for goodness sake! If you haven’t yet read Mara Dyer Trilogy and/or the first book in The Shaw Confessions—then I highly recommend that you do. Why? Well for one, a lot of spoilers and you’ll be lost. Things that happened in Mara Dyer are making a comeback in this book. 

Proceed with caution. 

With the way the first book ended—on a cliffhanger, no less—I knew that I needed the next book to see how the story would go. It was weird seeing Noah in such a pessimistic light. Which is kind of the same way he is in The Reckoning. Only, I kind of feel like nothing happened. Plot? Non existent. Mara? Not in the book! For real, I was a
little upset about that.

The ending has definitely made me want to get the next book. Yes, it’s one of those endings again! Noah is an interesting character and being in his head was a bit of a mind game in itself. A bit confusing, if I’m being honest. But this is Noah we’re talking about and nothing can keep me away from him.

Review:
Mortal Musings had me at the acknowledgments. I liked the fact that it's dedicated to those that feel invisible. I know I've felt invisible a time or two. And it goes great for the theme of the book. Especially the beginning. Allie is a muse, a type of other world being that helps the process of creativity to artists, musicians, etc. She commits a huge no-no when she helps the process for one of her subjects by writing something that came directly from her. 

All of a sudden the human man, Brett, can see her and instead of calling the cops, he takes her in. It's clear she has no idea where, who, or what she is. Basic things such as clothes and food are lost to Allie. To add on to all the confusion is human emotions! So scary! The sensual and sweet way Allie and Brett were around each other, made me want to scream. I felt the "chemistry" early on, and all I wanted them to do was get it on. I know, I know, I'm a pervert. 

The story is one of sexy, slow burn romance. If you're looking for an insta- romance, you won't find that here. The beginning is a little slow to start but once you get several chapters in, it starts getting much more interesting. It's enjoyable watching Allie maneuver her way around our world. But she needs to get back to her realm. There's a way but she's going to have to figure it out all on her own. Follow Allie and Brett as they race to make sense of the predicament their in.

Review-

3.5 stars 

I liked this. It was funny, sexy, and all around interesting read. Girl discovers hot as sin vampire, vampire and girl get chased by evil, and along the way they fall in love. Easy enough, right? It was. The book was very easy to read. If you haven't sensed it already, there's going to be a "but". But I think the story lacked passion and at certain points, it was kind of boring. Not boring enough to make me stop obviously, still caught myself skimming some pages. 

Lindsey and her best friend, Gemma, are both in the estate sale business. While majorly down on their luck, they snag a house in Venice, Italy that will surely have quite the priceless gems they seek.
What they find instead is a 600 year old gorgeous vampire who is still stuck in a different time. It was
so  fun watching him adjust to the modern world. Rand is immediately attracted to Lindsey's blood. Sort of reminded me of Edward and Bella, but whatever. 

Lindsey has agreed to help Rand in his quest to seek revenge on those that betrayed him. Easier said than done. Especially when those they are trying to find are hunting down Lindsey and Rand as well. The plot is fun, the characters were funny, and the action was mediocre. I think the story was good but not great. Readers will without a doubt get a kick out of Lindsey and Rand.

Review:
I love being in the Shadow Falls world way too much. Especially when it involves sexy Chase and my favorite sassy vamp, Della. The story starts off with Della and Chase; the guy who lied to her. And she wants nothing whatsoever to do with him. No matter how much her heart beats when he's near. Chase isn't having it though, he's determined to prove to Della that he's worth it. Not only does he go back to Shadow Falls but he also snags a job at the FRU. He wants Della back and will stop at nothing to make it happen. 

If only it were that easy! Della won't give Chase the time of day, at least that's what she's trying to convince herself. The pair have undeniable chemistry but Della wonders if it's the bond that's making her feel that way or actual feelings. On top of that, Steve has come back, her dad is on trial for the murder of her aunt, and it turns out that it may have been her fathers twin brother, Eddie. So much going on and not enough evidence to clear Della's father. 

Going on a chase so to to speak to save the ones she loves and maybe have her life go back to normal...for a vampire. Problems everywhere arise though that make it hard to focus on one thing. Soon, more and more people start becoming involved, like people dying like flies, and it's all because one man. They need to find him in order to save Della's dad from life in prison. Can they make it on time before it's too late?

These books come highly recommended and are more than addicting. The characters have become like extended family; I love them all so much. I'm hoping that we get a series with Miranda. There seems to be a lot of potential with her, Perry, and Shawn. Overall, if you're looking for a fun paranormal series, look no further. It's sweet, sexy, and hard to stop reading. In no time, I'm sure you'll be falling in love as well.

Review-

I have no idea what I just read. Nightwise, from the outside looking in, looked just like the perfect urban fantasy read for me. But I quickly realized that it wasn't exactly my cup of tea. I had a hard time connecting with the main character, Laytham Ballard. The world was also one I had a hard time picturing and getting into. I do know that the world the author did create was both dark and full of monsters. He included himself in that batch of monsters...

The book by no means is bad. I think for me, I'm not completely the target audience and for that I'm sorry. I should have tried to research the book a bit more but after reading the synopsis, it intrigued me. Laytham is paying off a debt to his dying friend to help seek vengeance over the friend's wife. The man in question is said to be part of the Illuminati, meaning it's going to be hella crazy trying to catch him. There's tons of action as Ballard races to find answers. 

Sounds good, right? I feel like beating myself over the head with a hammer because how could I not like this more than I did? I love books about antiheros; and Laytham is most certainly an antihero. If
you're looking for any type of romance, this is not your book. I repeat this is not for you! This is pure
urban fantasy with a whole lot of thriller aspects. Actually, the whole book could be one big thriller. Another reason to wonder why I couldn't connect. Overall, even though it wasn't my type of book, I would recommend this to readers that have an itch for thrilling story told by a brilliant author.

Review-

Jillian Cade : (Fake) Paranormal Investigator, took me completely by surprise. I don't know what it was that I expected, but it wasn't that. The beginning started off pretty slow but once it picked up, I didn't want to put it down. This is Supernatural for the YA crowd. Throw in monsters, some romance, and a broody main character, and voilà, you get Jillian! I'm excited to see that there will be another book. The farther along I got into the book, the more I worried about how everything would eventually wrap up. By 90% I came to the conclusion that there just had to be a second book coming. 

Jillian Cade is a learned con artist; conning people into believing she's a paranormal investigator. All that she does is all learned from the man that birthed her. And right about now, he's left her in the care of her aunt and uncle. At the start of the new school year, Jillian gets a case that seems all too real. Throw in the new boy, Sky, who uses Jillian's own defenses to partner with her on the investigation of finding a missing college boy. But then they learn that maybe the paranormal and unexplainable may exist. Can Jillian be swayed away from her skepticism and become a true believer? What's Sky's endgame and why is he so hell bent on helping her? 

I had so much fun reading this story. Even though the beginning could have sped up a little bit for my taste, I enjoyed the story immensely. At first I thought that maybe this would be considered a YA contemporary novel but it is in fact a YA paranormal romance. But the romance does take a backseat to the story as a whole. The heroine, Jillian, is strong and doesn't take crap from anyone. I truly think readers will enjoy diving into her world. 

Overall, I loved this so it goes to say, I definitely recommend reading the book! I'm hoping it doesn't take too long for book two to get here because I want to be back in this wonderful world the author has created. Plus, I'd like to see where she takes us as we try to gain more answers. (Also I want to see more of Sky, he's pretty dreamy - hint, hint)

Review:

Calling all PNR fans! Are you looking for a new paranormal book full of sexy characters, a fast paced storyline, and an all around fun read? Look no further. In the Air Tonight is as mysterious as it is romantic. The story starts off four hundred years into the past. It's there we meet Henry and Prudence; witches that are about to get burned at the stake. Meanwhile, they have three baby girls that they must send into the future to remain safe. 

Fast-forward four hundred years and we meet Raye; the girl who never quite fit in. She doesn't look like anyone in town (making her very different indeed) and she can see and interact with the dead! Very creepy if you ask me! The beginning of the story started off too slow. Once the ball got moving though, the more I wanted to read and know more about the characters. Bobby Doucet is a detective all the way from New Orleans. He gets brought all the way to New Bergin, Wisconsin because a case
he has been working on down in Louisiana resemble what's going on in New Bergin. 

Bobby and Raye decide to start working together admittedly after Raye has a brush with the killer. The two aren't able to hold back the insane chemistry they have between one another. Will they be able to help find a way to brig to light a past Raye didn't really know she had? What will happen once Bobby goes back down to New Orleans?

The supporting characters were just as appealing as the two leads. You invest yourself in the story and by the end of it, you want more. Good thing the second one comes out in a few weeks! I look forward to seeing more of where and how the sisters stories will end. Make sure you pick this one up!

Review: 

The Hanged Man was such a fun filled mystery full of witty characters, romance, and a storyline that just begs to be read. Set in the Victoria Era, we meet Alexandrina, a psychic who is known as a Reader. The Reader's job is to read the emotions at crime scenes. By doing that, she's able to help solve whatever crime has happened at the time. I've seen other reviewers say that this is a little similar to Sherlock Holmes; which is pretty cool. 

The characters and plot are so well developed that I had a tough time putting the book down. I wanted to know what happened next; I had to know what happened next. Alex gets called upon to do a reading for man who has commuted suicide. It's then that she realizes that maybe not all things are what they seem. We are in thrown into a whirlwind of action and it feels like at times you really don't know who to trust. I thought the mystery aspect was spot on and I loved the urban fantasy vibes we got from the book. In fact, I would go as far as to say that the book seemed a little bit more fantasy than mystery. Which there's nothing wrong with that because I love fantasy!

Alex is a likable enough heroine. She's smart and well developed. I enjoyed watching her grow as a character and of course the romance was good. I think I could have used more of it, but for the most part it was decent. The book sets up for future installments which I'm excited about. The world building was phenomenal and I can't wait until I can find back into the world Elrod has created. 

Overall, I recommend this to any and all who enjoy a good historical mystery that has fantasy like elements and good plot line twists, with that wonderful dash of romance. Come get lost in this magical world!

Review:

End of Days is the exciting conclusion to an amazing trilogy. It's filled with non-stop action, swoon-worthy romance, and a heroine that seriously knows how to kick some butt. Obviously if you haven't read this series, then I think you're crazy. I think I'm crazy for waiting so long to even start the books. But in a way I'm glad because sometimes having to wait for books you love can be so tortuous. I was so happy to see so much Raffe in this installment, seeing as how we barely saw him in the last book that came out. So good news ladies: HE'S HERE TO STAY!

 The story starts off where it ended in World After. Raffe and Penryn have finally found each other again and now more than ever, they must find a way for Raffe to get his wings on so they can stop
Uriel from becoming messenger. Of course trouble along the way is a given. Such as Penryn taking a trip or two to hell bringing back with her a legion of hellions. All hell bent on destroying her. Then Penryn and Raffe are faced with a teensy-weensy problem. It's come as no surprise that they are enemies and must choose sides when an epic battle between human and angel comes to light. How will they both face such a difficult choice?

Throughout all the books we've all felt the sexual tension between Penryn and Raffe. Besides some stolen moments and declaring that being with a Daughter of Man is truly forbidden, I think End of Days will curve the appetite and frustration you've had with the two. I won't say anymore because you have to experience everything first hand without being spoiled! But holy moly, when you do read please come back and talk to me about it. Come talk to me anyways about the book so we can cry tears of sorrow and joy together over these freaking bad ass books. 

We are introduced to some new characters thar didn't take me long to fall in love with. Why oh why did this have to be the last book? I would love getting stories from secondary characters. To me they were just as important as the main characters. I guess it's just not meant to be though. Oh well, I was very happy with how things ended. They weren't what I expected but in the end, it was still epic.  

 With the help of her not so crazy mom, her baby sister who isn't quite human, and her wanna-be boyfriend Raffe; Penryn has her hands full trying to save the world from truly ending. It's up to her to save the human race from extinction but can she do it? The world Ee has created has been so well developed, it's as if I'm watching a movie in my head. I can't recommend these books enough. They're truly amazing. 

Overall, this is a sad day having to say goodbye but I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to read and review Penryn. She's a character I think ALL girls should up to. She's brave, loyal, and being brave doesn't always mean not being scared. It's the exact opposite. She may be scared but it doesn't
stop her from doing what she thinks is right. Even if it means putting her life on the line. And that me is what makes her so great. 

Be kind and don't forget: don't take life for granted. After all, some crazy angels might decide they want to take over our world ;)
