“Rarely have I read a book so vividly described, so rich with emotion, that I felt like I lived it. USED is the kind of book that engages your heart and takes you on a journey that leaves you hopeful and empowered by the end.” ~ Erika Kelly, Award Winning Author of the Rock Star Romance Series

Review:

Used was haunting. It was beautiful. And I know it’s a a feeling that won’t leave anytime soon. Sabra’s story is emotional, raw, and hopeful. At least it was in the end. It’ll  embed itself into your very being. It sounds contrite but I’m changed.

The power that Dunbar was able to evoke through words had left me breathless. At times my stomach was in knots but in the end I felt whole. Trevor. There aren’t enough words to describe him adequately because that man definitely is a hero. He’s patient and perfect for Sabra.

It’s hard to believe this is a debut novel but it is! Overcoming any sort of abuse can be a battle that one may feel can never be won. I felt the author handled abuse with the utmost care and respect for those that have gone through situations like these. So thank you for that! I loved this book so much and can’t wait to see what journey Kate will take us on next.

Blog Tour Review—Float Plan by Trish Doller

Book Info

Jack Copy:

Heartbroken by the loss of her fiancé, adventurous Anna finds a second chance at love with an Irish sailor in this riveting, emotional romance.

After a reminder goes off for the Caribbean sailing trip Anna was supposed to take with her fiancé, she impulsively goes to sea in the sailboat he left her, intending to complete the voyage alone.

But after a treacherous night’s sail, she realizes she can’t do it by herself and hires Keane, a professional sailor, to help. Much like Anna, Keane is struggling with a very different future than the one he had planned. As romance rises with the tide, they discover that it’s never too late to chart a new course.

In Trish Doller’s unforgettable Float Plan, starting over doesn't mean letting go of your past, it means making room for your future.

"The perfect escape. Fresh, funny, and romantic. I wish I could sail away with this book." - Meg Cabot, New York Times bestselling author of The Princess Diaries and Little Bridge series

Review:

I think it’s the mark of a good author to be able make you mourn for a character you barely know. Float Plan started off making my stomach twist and my heart rate to speed up. It also caused my eyes to leak. Anna’s living in a perpetual nightmare after the loss of her fiancé. What a loss it is too...

“Even the vastness of the blue sea surrounding me feels less empty than the prospect of a life without him.“

I don’t know if it was the timing of reading the story but I was filled with immense sadness.  I felt Anna’s grief as if it were my own. I felt her fiancé Ben’s grief as if it were me. I felt it all. And it was only the second chapter.

While I felt the underlying dark cloud surrounding the book, it’s actually a pretty uplifting romance story about living life to its fullest. To always remember that life has beautiful surprises when you least expect them. But need them the most.
