Cover Reveal—The Tenth Girl by Carrie Aarons

Title: The Tenth Girl
Author: Carrie Aarons
Genre: New Adult/Young Adult
Cover Design: Sarah Hansen, Okay Creations
Release Date: September 9, 2018

Blurb

Never play a game you can't win.

For Cain Kent, that rule is golden. Losing is not in his vocabulary, and up until now, everything has come easy. Football, school, girls ... his charm-laced ego may just be bigger than Texas itself.

The competition he started freshman year with his friends, to make ten notches each in their bedposts by graduation day, is practically in the bag. One more to go, and then it's off to college fame and eventually, the big time. Attachments aren't something he wants to form, but when the quiet new girl challenges him in front of his classmates, his curiosity is peaked. She would be the perfect final score, and what fun to break her in the process.

Too bad Harper Posy has no intention of being just another warm body, especially to the bad boy quarterback. Even if he does quote Forster and Huxley when no one is listening. An aspiring author herself, Cain and his hidden soft side are dangerous to her heart. She's seen men ruin her mother's dreams time and again, and she's determined to fly far away as soon as she has that diploma in her fist.

But as the school year’s end looms closer, both realize they didn’t quite understand the rules to begin with. Is winning a dirty bet worth the gamble when the stakes, or the other’s heart in this case, are so high?

Harper is the one girl who isn't up for playing games. And she just might make Cain lose. Everything.

Ambitious book editor Asha Tate is a hopeless romantic. Despite her mediocre track record with men, she believes in swooning, sighing, and the everlasting love of true soul mates. Sure, sex is okay, but she’s not someone who’s ever been driven by her animal urges.
Until now.
When Asha stumbles upon the scorching hot Instagram feed of someone calling himself Professor Feelgood, she falls in lust for the first time. Not only is she left panting over the professor’s insane body, but his angst-filled poetry about losing his one true love speaks straight to her soul.
Desperately in need of a bestseller for her struggling publishing company, Asha knows the professor’s potential to sell to his millions of loyal followers could be the lifeline her bosses need. However, the ink is barely dry on a book deal before she realizes she’s made a terrible mistake. Sure, the professor is incredibly talented and sexier than any man has a right to be, but the man behind the persona isn’t at all who she pictured. In real life, he’s intense, arrogant and infuriating, and his uncanny ability to rub her the wrong way turns her dream project into a total nightmare.
Knowing that the professor is everything she doesn’t want in a man should help Asha ignore her occasional urges to mount him, but she quickly learns that explosive, unwanted chemistry can make even smart people do stupid things.

Interview with Author Lindsey Iler

Hey guys! Thank you so much to joining us today. We have a very special guest on the blog—Ms. Lindsey Iler. She’s written some of the most angsty and romantic books out there. If you haven’t yet read the Our Words Series, step it up! She gave us Graham and Kennedy.

At the bottom of the page, is the interview helping get to know Lindsey better.

Kennedy Conrad is everything he needs.
Graham Black has two rules in life. Play baseball, so he can get the hell out of Tennessee, and leave your shirt on when you drop your panties.

He’s a typical all-American pitcher with the world at his fingertips. His devilish good looks and charm help him crawl into the beds and hearts of the girls at his high school. With secrets no one knows, he has every intention of running away from his hometown the minute he graduates. Nothing can get in his way. Until poor choices collide him into Kennedy Conrad.

Graham Black is everything she wants.
Kennedy Conrad has her own set of rules. Dance with your whole heart, and make it through each day without being noticed.

She’s sweet and reserved, everything Graham’s not. After one fated night, she can’t stop him from noticing her anymore. She knows there’s a chance of heartache by letting him in. When the unthinkable happens to Kennedy, Graham realizes what he’s been fighting is what causes Kennedy to end up hurt.

Can their love survive one more thing that is meant to pull them apart?

Love is complicated. Add in high school and it’s bound to get worse.

Kennedy Conrad spent her summer hiding from the world, leaving her plenty of time to relive every moment spent with Graham Black. Now at the start of her senior year, she has one goal. Avoid the boy who broke her heart. He seems to be everywhere she turns.

Letting go isn’t always the easiest thing to do.
Graham Black spent his summer parading around with nameless girls at endless parties. At the start of his senior year, he pretends to be okay with his choices and masks his pain, but Graham can’t escape the reminder of his own broken heart. Every time he turns around, she’s there.

Sometimes people come into your life for different reasons.

Someone new reminds Kennedy what she deserves, leaving Graham two choices: be pushed back into the shadows or fight for the only girl who’s ever understood him.
Can they find their way back as their worlds fall apart?

Time is said to heal all wounds.
Kennedy Conrad embraces survival. Group therapy, friends, and dance are helping her find the person she was. Overcoming the darkest period of her past is getting easier every day. Still, the ache in her chest tells her something is missing. Him.

The more precious something is, the harder you fight for it.

Graham Black embraces change. Baseball, mentoring, and school are helping him leave behind the person he once thought he was. Hiding in plain sight is what gets him through each day. Still, he questions the decisions he makes because of her.

Whoever said all good things must come to an end doesn’t know their story.

When everything in their lives seems to be settling down, Kennedy and Graham once again collide. Misconceptions are corrected. Secrets are revealed. Choices are forced. Broken pieces are scattered, and only these two have the power to put things back together.

Faced with the decision of their lives, what will they do when their worlds stand still?

After the wedding of their dreams, a honeymoon is the perfect way for Graham and Kennedy to recharge their batteries.

One week alone in a surprise location.
A whole lot of time loving and worshiping each other.
This is their time to simply be.
To remember why they’ve fought so hard to be together.

Until a phone call changes everything.

What happens when the walls close in and their worlds go silent?

Let’s get to know Lindsey!
1. Where did the idea for Graham and Kennedy’s story hit you? What were your inspirations?

Oh gosh! Prepare yourself for this answer, but I wrote a really bad sci-fi romance before I even started Graham and Kennedy’s story! What I took away from that original story was a human’s unremarkable ability to forgive and sacrifice, which is the basis of Graham and Kennedy’s love story. I wanted to show a young love story that could withstand a lot of trouble, but still come out on top. It is never easy, but in the end, it’s worth it.

2. Can we expect to have more angst and emotions in ‘When Our Worlds Go Silent’ than the first three books?

It wouldn’t be Graham and Kennedy if there wasn’t, but you do get to see the two of them more settled in with each other, which is exactly what we’ve been working towards throughout the series.

3. What is your writing process like?
I have no process. Haha! I’m a total pantser. Half the time I don’t know where the story is going until I get there. This is a blessing and a curse for me.

4. Why should readers take a chance on the ‘Our Worlds’ series? What makes it stand out?

I think what makes it stand out is how relatable and troubled the characters are. They aren’t perfect and they don’t claim to be, but they are the kind of characters, no matter how angry you get with them, you still root for them.

5. If you had to take one book on a desert island with you, what would it be?

This is a cruel question, you know that, right? I’m going to say The Notebook by Nicolas Sparks. It’s an ultimate love story and even if I’m stranded on a disserted island (I assume I’m alone) then I want to be reminded of that kind of selfless love.

6. Favorite tv show?

This is hard because it changes all the time, but gun to my head, I’d say Grey’s Anatomy.

7. What advice would you give aspiring authors?

Write your story with no one else in mind. No one knows it better than you. And most importantly, do it, even if it scares the shit out of you.

8. Name a book that changed your life.

This one is easy! Taking Chances by Molly McAdams. After reading it, I remember thinking to myself “I want to write a book that makes someone feel the way that this one does”. Reading her words, being destroyed by them is why I finished writing my first book.

Blog Tour Review—Richer Than Sin by Meghan March

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a brand new saga of forbidden love and second chances.   A Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after. Our family feud is the stuff of legends. Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes. I didn’t know or care what her name was. Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man. She hates me, and she should. I objected on her wedding day. Now she’s home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there’s no ring on her finger. They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after . . . but I’m not done with Whitney Gable. I’ll never be done with her.

Review:
Well...shit.

That was a rollercoaster of a fun ride that I want to ride again and again. Funny thing is, I don’t even like rollercoasters! Unless they involve dangerously sexy men and the women who bring them to their knees. Whitney and Lincoln are hotter than hot. From their first meeting until the very last page...my kindle was in high dander of melting into a pool of goo. Much like myself.

My lone secret is that this book is my very first from March. Yes—GASP! I’m hitting myself in the foot for waiting so long to read her. The storyline was fresh, kept me on my toes, and was romantic in a way that wasn’t cheesy or forced. The two main characters were strong, interesting, and had so many beautiful layers you could weep.

Bottom line is—is that you’re a fan of March, don’t hesitate to read this! I need the next book l

Guilty until proven innocent.

That’s the way the world works, right?

I’m tired of being convicted without evidence, all because my last name is Gable.

The Riscoffs might own this town, but I’m done following their rules.

If only I could forget just how easily Lincoln Riscoff can drag me under his spell.

Whitney Gable is the kind of woman you fight to the death to protect.

To keep.

To cherish.

I’ve finally learned my lesson, and it’s time to prove I’m the man who’s worthy of her.

I don’t care what it takes, because failure is not an option.

No matter who or what stands in our way—this time, she’ll be mine forever

About THE LAST LETTER (Coming 2/26/2019):

Beckett,

If you’re reading this, well, you know the “last-letter” drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there were any chance you could have saved me, you would have.

I need one thing from you: Get out of the army and get to Telluride.

My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair.

And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help.

So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family.

Please don’t make her go through it alone.

Ryan

The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker

THE SIMPLE WILD by K.A. Tucker
Atria Books Paperback | On Sale: August 7, 2018 | 400 pages | ISBN: 9781501133435; $16.00 |
eBook: 9781501133459; $7.99

ABOUT THE SIMPLE WILD

Calla Fletcher was two when her mother took her and fled the Alaskan wild, unable to handle the isolation of the extreme, rural lifestyle, leaving behind Calla’s father, Wren Fletcher, in the process. Calla never looked back, and at twenty-six, a busy life in Toronto is all she knows. But when her father reaches out to inform her that his days are numbered, Calla knows that it’s time to make the long trip back to the remote frontier town where she was born.

She braves the roaming wildlife, the odd daylight hours, the exorbitant prices, and even the occasional—dear God—outhouse, all for the chance to connect with her father: a man who, despite his many faults, she can’t help but care for. While she struggles to adjust to this new subarctic environment, Jonah—the quiet, brooding, and proud Alaskan pilot who keeps her father’s charter plane company operational—can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. And he’s clearly waiting with one hand on the throttle to fly this city girl back to where she belongs, convinced that she’s too pampered to handle the wild.

Jonah is probably right, but Calla is determined to prove him wrong. As time passes, she unexpectedly finds herself forming a bond with the burly pilot. As his undercurrent of disapproval dwindles, it’s replaced by friendship—or perhaps something deeper? But Calla is not in Alaska to stay and Jonah will never leave. It would be foolish of her to kindle a romance, to take the same path her parents tried—and failed at—years ago.

It’s a simple truth that turns out to be not so simple after all.
