Review:

How to Quit Your Crush is cute, funny, and romantic! Mai and Anthony are clearly PERFECT for each other in so many ways. Opposites attract is one of my favorite tropes and this one has been bumped up to a fave of mine.

The banter is what truly made this for me. I love witty and swoon-worthy talks between the hero and heroine of books. The flirting and then the eventual way they can’t help but gravitate towards each other. So romantic!

Overall, if you’re looking for a fun and lighthearted story about two amazing characters and the shenanigans they get up to, this is for you! And if you really love the characters after you’ve read the book, check out Announcing Trouble, Garrett and Josie’s book! Which I loved as well.

Review-

This was fun. Winn is trapped in life. She’s betrothed to a man who doesn’t care a lick about her. All she wants is to be free and to have an adventure in the world. There’s also the fact that she’s never been truly kissed

Lord Asher Holt also wants freedom—from his own father. He knows just the way to do it too. But then a certain heiress gets in his way and the rest they say, is history.

We’re taken on a wild adventure that’s action packed with high speed chases and romance to make you swoon. Holt and Winn are sure to set your hearts on fire. This is a first in a series and I for one am so excited to see Jane have her much needed book.

Overall, this is one to add to your to be read books—which you should definitely be getting though since the world is under quarantine!

Review-

My first thought as I finished The Elizas is “this book was weird as shit”. And it was, but I couldn’t stop reading. The entire novel we’re led down a rabbit hole with an unreliable main character. Eliza is quirky, eccentric, and sees things that may or may not be real. She’d had a brain tumor that affected her in more ways than one. As her debut novel is set to come out, someone is after Eliza and  wants her dead. They won’t stop coming until the score is evened out. 

After a near-drowning sets everything in motion, the readers are sent on an adventure where nothing is as it seems and no one is trustworthy. Not even Eliza—especially not her. So many times I had to put the book because it was slow moving and I kept getting confused. I wanted to know the mystery so still read on. While I liked the book, it wasn’t a favorite of mine from Sheppard. I loved the first 8 books in the Pretty Little Liar series. 

I did love reading excerpts from the novel that Eliza wrote about Dot and Dorothy—fictional characters that looked eerily alike but bad things always happened around them. I wanted so bad to see how that story fit into the actual story I was reading, and while it was predictable, I liked it. The end was a cool twist. Sheppard knows how to keep a reader on their toes until the very end. Overall, if you’re a fan of PLL, fans wont want to miss out on this one. Sheppard does seem to follow similar storylines which I don’t mind.

Review:
Hmm...that was not at all what I expected. I’d like to point out that if you’re looking for a fast-paced thriller/mystery aspect, you aren’t going to get it with this book. It’s achingly slow. To the point I almost stopped reading a few times. The twists are interesting but way too predictable. The ending left me...jarred. I have to say, The Glass Forest is creepy as hell. 

The storyline follows Angie, a 21 year old newlywed and mother, Ruby, a teenager and child of our last narrator, Silja. Silja and Angie are sister-in-laws to the charming and Cary Grant look-a-like, Paul and Henry. There are so many secrets surrounding these characters and one thing I truly did love about it, was the fact that it was so character driven. It was just too slow for my liking. 

There’s so much I could say about the book but it’s hard when anything I do write and say could potentially ruin the book for you, if you do plan on reading. The author writes very well, and great enough to keep my interest. While it wasn’t as fast as I would have liked, it still was decent. Let me know what you think about the book below! Review:

I truly like the writing style and cheeky dialogue that R. Linda has graced us with. While I liked Indie and the Brother’s Best Friend, I didn’t like it half as much as I did the first book with Bailey and Ryder. I just wasn’t convinced of Indie and Linc’s love for each other. Now I’m not saying it was completely amiss, but I didn’t get any butterflies when they were together. I liked Indie better with Jack, and if you’ve read the book, you know what his whole deal is. If you haven’t yet read this, then you’re in for a treat :)

That all being said, I want it to be known that I DID LIKE THE BOOK. It was nice seeing Bailey, Ryder, and Kenzie. I loved them all from the first book and Bailey and Ryder are as cute as ever. I wish we could have gotten more scenes with them in it. The whole deal with the book is that Indie has been in love with Lincoln who whole life. But he has never seen her as more than just a little sister...or so we think. Indie has been away at college for two years and hasn’t been home in the past year in order to avoid Linc. 

Present day the whole gang is in Figi for Indie and Nate’s parents 25th wedding anniversary/renewal. It’s there that Indie’s best friend, comes up with a crazy plan to make Linc jealous. How you may ask? By pretending to be a fake boyfriend. Don’t worry, it’s nothing like the plot from Bailey and the Bad Boy. The plot is overused and predictable. I’m more than okay with that though. Overall, this is a sweet series that Ms. Linda has written and I look forward to reading the next book. If you like angst, sweet heroes, and books that are high on romance, look no further.

I smiled at her. It wasn’t a friendly smile. It was sinister. Her eyes widened, and she moved back on the rock, knowing I was coming for her.

“You better lose that dress real quick, Princess. I’d hate for it to get wrecked.” I crept closer. Panic marred her features. She knew all too well that I meant what I said.

“You wouldn’t.” She held her hands out to stop me.

“Come on, you know me better than that. You’re getting in this water. “To the count of three, Indie,” I warned one last time.

Review-

That was cute. Becca is such a fresh nee voice and i was sad to see her go. The story starts off with Becca being dropped off in LA by her boyfriend, Alex. Seemingly out of nowhere, Alex breaks up with her, leaving Becca distraught and a tad bit confused. This isn't at all what the story is about though. It's about Becca's journey to not only becoming an actress but finding herself as well. 

What I truly loved was the independence Becca showed. She's able to rent an apartment and finds a job so she's able to live like the rest of us. I've heard becoming a household name is very hard and only a small percentage actually ever makes it to the big leagues. I'm not very familiar with the entertainment industry, other than being entertained, but I can imagine that this was a somewhat realistic look on how hard it is for struggling actors and actresses to find work. 

Along the way, Becca meets Marisol and Raj. Marisol is a fellow actress, while Raj is a screenwriter/director. I liked them immediately; although, I did think Raj was a bit too square for my tastes. Honestly, I wouldn't mind another book with Becca's point of view. I'd love to see where her acting has taken her and if she hit it big. But I guess that's why we have imaginations. Who knows? Maybe she ended up getting her own show and now she's as famous as can be!

Review:

This is a great example as to why you should never give up on a book. For the first few chapters, all I wanted to do was quit. The main character, Harper, was the most annoying characters I've had the pleasure of reading in a long time. In the end, my view completely changed of her and I see why the author made her so unlikeable in the beginning. It was such great character development. Sterling was pretty cool, I'll admit and I enjoyed seeing him ruffle up Harper's feathers. 

I always love the twin concept in books and life in general. Harper is a twin and other half of her brother, Cole. Who I might add, has gotten himself into some deep crap. It's up to Harper, of course, to save him. The love that Harper has for her brother was probably my favorite part of the whole book. You could tell how much she wanted to help and save him, even when he didn't want her to. Aside from me thinking she was annoying, she's actually pretty clever, quirky, and at times we were able to see her vulnerable side. I always like seeing all the ways a character can show us the good, the bad, and the ugly. 

By the last page, I thought it was a nice, sweet YA romance. If you're looking for something sweet and light by not too heavy, this is the perfect read.

Review:

I liked that better than I thought I would. And let me tell you, Elias is HOT. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about him and Miller of course. Which brings me to Miller, I liked her unique name. She was a riot and it was nice being in her head where her inner dialogue was interesting, to say the least. Miller is a novelist and Elias is a gravedigger. He's the perfect type of broody!

The two are thrown together when Miller's brother turns up missing. To make it a tad bit awkward, the two aren't exactly happy to work together since Elias left Miller high and dry. So to speak. If you ask me, that's about as rude as you can get, leaving someone wanting...more. But the dialogue and interaction between them was well worth it. 

If you haven't read this series yet, I suggest you do. They are a fast and quick read. One that will keep you reading until the very end. It's highly entertaining and it has some major swoon moments that you're unlikely to forget anytime soon! I'm more than excited to get the next book to read!

She finally got the hang of things, and eventually learned that losing one’s virginity wasn’t all that romantic after all. All of her books involve some kind of suspense (she just can't help herself), laughter, and a lot of steamy sex. 

Since the failure of her first attempt, Liliana’s books have won awards such as: The Daphne Du Maurier, The Suzannah, The Linda Howard Award of Excellence, The Maggie, and many others. Her affiliations include Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America. 

Liliana loves to cook, and is addicted to reading, Internet Boggle, kickboxing, and Bones. She lives in a big, rambling house in Texas with a couple of cats to keep her company. She loves to get emails from readers.
