Blurb:
Sisterhood in all its drama, hilarity and tears is at the heart of New York Times bestselling author Kristan Higgins's thoroughly captivating new novel, featuring the wit and romance that readers have come to expect from the much-loved creator of the Blue Heron series...

Wedding-dress designer Jenny Tate understands the happily-ever-after business, yet somehow she's still involved in her ex-husband's life. In fact, Owen's new wife may—inexplicably—be Jenny's new best friend. Sensing this, well, relationship isn't helping her move on, Jenny trades the Manhattan skyline for her hometown up the Hudson, where she'll be able to bask in her sister Rachel's picture-perfect family life…and hopefully make one of her own.

Her timing couldn't be more perfect, since Rachel will need her younger sister. Her idyllic marriage has just fallen to pieces in spectacular fashion after she discovers her husband sexting with one of his colleagues. Second chances aren't in Rachel's nature, but the desire for an intact family has her rethinking her stance on adultery, much to Jenny's surprise. Rachel points to their parents' "perfect" marriage as a shining example, but to protect her sister Jenny may have to tarnish that memory—and their relationship—and reveal a secret about their family she's been keeping since childhood.

During this summer of secrets and lies, temptation and revelation, Jenny and Rachel will rely on each other to find the humor in their personal catastrophes, the joy in their triumphs…and the strength to keep hanging on.

Review:
My heart is so full...so full of the joyous and sometimes bittersweet thing we call life. The ups and downs, the good and the bad. All the pain and joy you can feel in the span of a day. This is a book that I don't feel like a review can do it justice. Especially since it's one that I was able to be deeply connected to. I cried and laughed right along with the characters; as if they were real. The two main characters, Jenny and Rachel, are sisters that are so completely different yet both the same.

Jenny is the younger sister of the two and not only did her husband leave her, she's still friends with him a year and a half later...along with his beautiful new pregnant wife. Yes, you heard that right. His new wife; his one and only, his soulmate. But Jenny, wedding designer extraordinaire, is so patient and nice, that she puts up with being friends with them. She's decides to move back to her hometown
in hopes of living the simple life. Hopefully she'll meet a man and pop out some beautiful children
along the way. When she meets Leo, the lonely man with sad eyes, something in her awakens. She finds herself opening up to the chance of falling for someone. Only problem is, is that Leo doesn't want that. He's fine and dandy being on his own.

Rachel is the sister whose happily married and have three beautiful little girls who also happen to be triplets. Rachel's life is seemingly perfect; she has the family, the house...what more could she want? One night she happens to look at her husband's phone when a text comes through. She then finds out her husband has been unfaithful. Then goes a roller coaster of emotions. Should she forgive him? What will happen to the girls if they decide to divorce? Whose the women? What does she have that I don't? The whole time Rachel is at stuck at a crossroads. And no one can truly save her but herself.

Out of both the sisters, the one I most connected with was Rachel. I know exactly what she was going through. It sucks. Cheating is no joking matter - it's heartbreaking and messy. You're never truly the same once it happens. Like Rachel, finding out the one you love is messing around on you is like a lunch to the heart. No, it's worse. Much worse. The whole time I was reading her parts, my stomach would start feeling funny, my anxiety started flaring up. All I wanted was to be wrong about Adam but I knew deep in my gut, as did Rachel, that her husband was a cheating bastard. Even now as I write this, my stomach is in my throat. Cheating...don't do it!

Jenny's story made me sad but at the same time I loved her. All she wants is a family yet she don't stop picking the wrong guys. Why can't anyone see this woman is so amazing? There were times when I wanted her to tell Leo to fuck off. But it just wasn't in her character. She's the type of person who sees the good in everyone and is always peppy. I wanted her to find her happy ending.

Overall, I recommend this beautifully written book about two sisters who have every reason to want to give up but don't because they deserve so much. I'm sure readers will devour this realistic look at how ugly life can get when you're a grown up. Let me tell you, it's not always fun. It won't always go the way you want it to, but it will always happen the way it's supposed to.
