She never thought being kidnapped is how it would happen.

Now she’s being held captive by a man who’s as frightening as he is sinfully gorgeous. Enormous, muscular, and filled with secrets, the man they call Ghost is an enigmatic mercenary, and Madison is trapped with him. She doesn’t know who hired him or why, but the more time she spends at his mercy, the more she realizes he’s not what he seems. Beneath his rough exterior lies an unexpected gentleness and a heart as broken and battered as her own.

But as Madison lets down her walls, Ghost holds tight to his, hiding secrets that could destroy everything.

Review:
Captive. What a completely and utterly addicting read! Starting the book you think it's going to be a dark romance kind of like Captive in the Dark but it isn't. The only thing they have in common is they have the name captive in the title. It's different in such a great way. I was hooked from the first page. Hooked because I felt so much sympathy for the main character. Madison has had to grow up really fast. Her parents aren't the best and the result is Madison, who hasn't had much of a life due to always being worried for her mother. A night after a study session, Madison is abducted and held captive by a mysterious and beautiful man. He's ruthless yet once we get in his head, it's easy to see that he's only doing what has to in order to survive. Ghost. That's his name. One minute there's no one there, the next he's taking you and there's nothing you can do about it.

From the outside looking in, Madison has the perfect life. She's got the looks, she doesn't want for nothing, and her family is a pretty big deal in the community. But just because a family seems happy doesn't mean they are. Madison has a broken family. The only one who can really claim to care about her is the house maid. She passes no judgment with Madison and her messed up home life. It's sad because her parents won't even notice that's she missing.

What I wanted to know more than anything was why Madison was taken in the first place. That's what kept me reading until the wee hours of the night. Being able to look into both minds of the two protagonists was such a gift. At first I was a bit iffy with Ghost but the more I read of him, the more I started to fall in love with him. Much like Madison. I mean how could you not fall in love!

Overall, this is a book to have on your radar. It's full of promise of more to come, suspense that will keep you guessing, and a budding romance that's builds slowly into something beautiful. I am so hooked!
