ARC Review- Tied by Emma Chase

In the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled and Twisted, Drew and Kate can’t wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-wedding festivities.

For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.

The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of... my final test.

I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you've heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?

3.5 stars

Tied is the fourth book in the Tangled Series and the conclusion to Kate and Drew's story. I fell in love with both of the characters in the first book Tangled. I thought the story was romantic and funny. That's just a plus right there. So why the three star rating? Well, before I tell how I felt, please know that this is just a matter of opinion and I'm not bashing Emma at all. I've loved her characters and stories so I hate that I wasn't able to give this five stars.

Here it goes. The main reason I gave this three stars was because I felt this story was pointless aside from the fact that it's when they finally get married! We are told from the very beginning that something *douche-worthy* is going to happen but that it still ends in a happily ever after. So I was intrigued and wondering what shenanigans Drew gets himself into.

The beginning of the story starts off great. We get to go back into time and see how both the newly parents coped with parenthood. In true Drew fashion he made it funny and real. Then we get to the part where all the friends are going to spend one last hurrah aka bachelor/bachelorette parties in none other than Las Vegas.

At this point I'm thinking oh no, I can see where this is going! While in Vegas there are conflicts that happen but are always very quickly resolved. I never felt any tension, it all felt too perfect. And I guess that could never be a bad thing but I wanted something to get my heart racing. Then we get to the part that Drew is talking about and after I'm done reading I'm thinking "wth".

That's the assholery you did? That's it?! I obviously don't want to give it away, but i think it was pointless.

I know, I know I should be happy I'm getting Drew! He's damn awesome and how can I not give anything less than five stars? Well I still like the book, I just didn't love it. But I think in my eyes, nothing can live up to Tangled. That book hit it out if the park for me, no joke.

Aside from the fact that I was disappointed in some aspects of the book, I still enjoyed being able to see all my beloved characters. I wish I would have gotten more Dee and Matthew together, I loved them in Tamed! The children are such a great factor to the story and I wouldn't be too sad if we got some books involving them as adults or young adults.

Overall, if your a huge Tangled series fan, don't let my review alone sway you! There are still sexy scenes that could make you blush, signature Drew scenes, and of course the wedding. Don't miss out on the next book. I do look forward to anything and everything Emma Chase writes.
