RUN TO YOU is a super-romantic thriller about a teenage girl and her psychically gifted family on the run from a telepathic killer hired by the government. To evade the killer, Tessa and her parents, brother, and sister must follow these rules:
1.
Be ready to flee at a moment’s notice. Keep a bag packed in your getaway car.
2.
Store anything you want to keep in the trunk of your getaway car. If something doesn’t fit, too bad: it will be destroyed along with everything else—clothes, text books, even your bedsheets—when you flee to your next hideout.
3.
Use your disposable cell phones only to contact each other: Never give your number to anyone else. Destroy the phones when you flee to your next location.
4.
Do not use credit cards or the internet: They are too easy to track.
5.
Whenyou flee from a location, destroy your getaway car. Buy a new, nondescript getaway car with cash.
6.
On the road between locations, stay only in motels that accept cash.
7.
When you find a new town to hide in, find a pre-furnished rental house. Pay the security deposit and first-and-last month’s rent with, you guessed it: cash.
8.
Use a new alias at each location. Never tell anyone your real name.
9.
Wave at your new neighbors and smile at your new classmates so you don’t arouse suspicion, but don’t be toofriendly. Your goal is to survive, not to make friends.
10.
Memorize your cover story: you moved here from Oklahoma (you’ve never been to Oklahoma).
11.
Wear clothes that are plain and forgettable: no brand names or logos.
12.
At school learn half Bs and half Cs: grades that are decent, but not so bad or so good that they will attract attention.
13. And whatever you do: never, ever, ever fall in love.

Clara Kensie grew up near Chicago, reading every book she could find and using her diary to write stories about a girl with psychic powers who solved mysteries.
