Review:

This was an okay read for me. Too many times to count the moments that left me feeling...bored. But there were times that I did connect with the characters. I also had many moments that made me laugh out loud. Laughing is always a good sign. 

I’m disappointed because I thought I would enjoy this more than I did. The whole premise from the blurb was what originally intrigued me. Then it took place in Scottish Highlands! Who could ask for more?

Katie was an interesting character. At times she seemed cool and relatable. Other times she just seemed too whiny. I can be okay with that if I feel like a character has growth throughout the book. Katie almost didn’t make the cut but in the end I felt a little bit closer to her. 

Harry is one of my favorite type of male characters—grumpy, with a little bit of a stick up their butt. Obviously, he would need the female lead to help loosen him up. In the end, my assessment was still on the book was “okay” but was still enjoyable.
