"An intense, emotional, compelling read." —Kate Elliott

Liv Burnham thinks nobody knows Morgan Frost like she does, but a terrible accident pushes her down the rabbit hole where Morgan's secrets hide and she'll be lucky to make it out alive....

On a hot summer night, Liv, Morgan, Clay and Nathan are on the way home from a party in Clay's convertible. Best friends dating brothers? It doesn't get better than that. But the joyride ends in sudden impact, a screech of brakes, and shattering glass. On that lonely country road, four lives change forever.

Liv wakes in the hospital. At first she's confused when they call her Morgan, but she assumes it's a case of mistaken identity. Yet when the bandages come off, it's not her face inthe mirror anymore. It's Morgan's.

Morgan always seemed to have the perfect life. But as Liv tries to fit herself into Morgan's world, she discovers endlessly disturbing secrets of the criminal and murderous variety and a dark task to finish...if she doesn't lose her mind first.

Forced to confront the disturbing truths that Morgan kept hidden in life, Liv must navigate a world of long-buried murder, a dangerous love affair—and a romance that feels like a betrayal.

Review-
Hmm. If you’re looking good for a story that’s completely different, then I suggest looking no further. For Never and Always was a fast-paced thriller/sci-fi story that confused me at times, but was interesting all the same.

Liv and her friends Morgan, Clay and boyfriend, Nathan, are in a terrible accident one night. Leaving Liv dead and alive. Her soul is now in Morgan’s body, while her physical self has passed on. Now she has to navigate her way into Morgan’s seemingly perfect world that may not be so perfect after all.

I’m not gonna lie, this was one weird book. I was a bit upset at the fact that I never truly got an answer as to why Liv became Morgan. I guess I just expected more or maybe it just completely went over my head. That tends to happen. I did love seeing Liv find out how she never truly knew her best friend at all. Do any of us truly ever know someone?

Clay was a great book boyfriend and I enjoyed watching him become someone that Liv could love and depend on. Overall, I think this was a great story that definitely kept me on my toes.

***Best Friend Guest Post***
I think best friends make the world go round. Who do we go to when we’re hurt or sad or those times we’re extremely happy for whatever reason. That’s an easy question to answer—our best friends. Which brings me to how I met my best friend, Sarah. I started blogging back in December of 2011 when I picked up a book I loved and reviewed it on Goodreads. A publisher asked if they could get my email so I could join some blog tours and my thoughts immediately led to what in the world is that.

Then started my love for writing about books I adore with people who also adored books as much as me. One in particular became a friend. I needed help with reviews and asked if anybody would be interested in joining my team. Sarah, applied and we’ve been best friends ever since.

The cool thing about meeting your best friend online is the sole fact that you get closer from all the talking through text, email, and phone calls. Sarah’s from Nevada while I’m from Texas. Two people who probably never would have ever crossed paths, became best friends through a mutual love for books. How amazing is that? Still been six years and I’ve seen Sarah a handful of times. I’ve visited her in Vegas when RT was happening and she’s come down to Texas to visit and explore as well. Several times she’s even come to book events with me!

There have been many times where I wondered where I would be without her. She’s my sounding voice when things get tough, or someone to help put a smile on my face when I need it most. I’m so grateful for her and everything she’s done for me. While we both have different tastes in books, our love for the written word will never change. Especially since it’s the whole reason we became best friends.

Blog Tour feat Review:
Perfect Vision by LM Halloran!!

Title: Perfect Vision (The Vision Series Book 2)
Genre: Romantic Suspense / Dark
Author: LM Halloran
Release Date: July 19, 2018

Synopsis:

Hindsight isn't 20/20.

When London flees to Los Angeles, she isn’t interested in making a new life from the ashes of her old one. All she wants is to survive. But with her reputation and career as a journalist in shambles, surviving alone in the city is easier said than done.

After struggling for months to make ends meet, she unknowingly applies for a bartending position at an exclusive sex club. The pay is incredible—more importantly, no one expects her to participate.

At the infamous Crossroads, London finds more than an a crash course in kink. She finds a life. Friends. Laughter and excitement. And a man who infuriates her, challenges her, and mercilessly batters at the walls around her heart.

Dominic Cross is everything London doesn’t want. But when ghosts of the past appear with a vendetta?

He’s everything she needs.

My Review:

Perfect Vision has quickly become my favorite LM Halloran book to date. It’s a little dark, suspenseful, hot-as-hell, and the characters are compelling. It kept me turning the pages long past my bed time.

If you’ve read Double Vision then Dominic and London will be familiar to you. If you hadn’t read it and you’re hoping to just dive in here, then no worries. This book may be the second in the Series, but it can certainly be read as a standalone.

One thing that I absolutely loved is how well the author was able to blend the past and the present together. She gives us just enough information at the right times to keep up guessing and on our toes.

Dominic and London both have dark and gritty pasts and those pasts helped to form them into the perfect halves of each other. He can give her what she so desperately needs, and she can help him learn that there’s nothing wrong him. She gives him a release and the freedom to embrace who he is. When they finally come together it’s beautiful to see because it’s just them. Who they are. What they need. Nothing else.

If you’ve already read a book by LM then you know she’s one hell of a storyteller. If you haven’t read anything by her then I highly recommend adding this to your library and giving it a try. I absolutely LOVED this book (and its perfectly flawed characters) so much.

Review-
You know, love at first sight storylines I usually like to shy away from; unless it’s done right. Well, done right in a way that isn’t annoying or unrealistic. Do you believe in soulmates? To answer that question—yes I do. And this book just solidified that. I’ll admit that at times I had to roll my eyes at the sheer corniness of some things the hero said. It didn’t stop me from reading though, if anything I’m okay with a little of cheese.

Lucy is beautiful, shy, and smart. While fighting off her match-making mother, she spends her time as an intern at a prestigious art gallery. One day on the beach, she meets a beautiful man with the beautiful eyes that will, unbeknownst to her, change everything.

Justin is living the life as a rock star—only it’s getting old. He wants something different in life and maybe starting a solo career instead of being in a band will change that. That is until he meets the beautiful girl with the beautiful eyes. Fate has plans for them when he sees her again at his concert. Therein starts the epic love story that asks the question—Do you believe in soulmates?

I think the book starts off great for a trilogy and it does end in a way where you’ll need the next book to know what happens next. My favorite type of stories are ones that make me feel a connection and this one did through and through. Justin is a hero after my own heart; he’s got a past but who doesn’t? All he wants to do is love and protect Lucy at all costs. All she needs is to trust him. Can these two find a way to do that?

Justin reached for her hand. “Come here.”
Lucy took one step forward, and Justin cradled her face, gazing into her eyes. He leaned in slowly and gave her a gentle kiss. His lips were soft and full as they touched hers. It was a tender kiss at first, but soon the kiss deepened. His kiss should have felt new, but instead it felt like coming home to something rooted deep within her. His fingers wound around her hair, pulling her even closer to him. He moaned as Lucy parted her lips, allowing his tongue access inside, exploring her depths. Something detonated inside Lucy as she ran her fingers through his hair. It seemed as if all the anxiety she usually had around men had evaporated.
Justin pulled away, his eyes exploring her face in silent wonder.
Lucy let her fingers trace down the side of his face and his stubble. He closed his eyes, leaning into her palm, and smiled with a soft sigh.
When Justin opened his eyes again, his arms slid down around her, pulling her closer, and he kissed her again. She could feel his growing erection, and it increased her arousal even more. She whimpered when he broke their kiss.
“I’ve dreamt of kissing you.” He kissed her again and then nibbled her bottom lip. “I’ve dreamt of you every night since I met you. I can’t get you out of my mind.”
His blue eyes were so like hers it was eerie. “I’ve had dreams of you, too,” she said with a smile.
With a sexy grin, he reached for her again and pulled her close. “I think I’m obsessed with you. You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen,” he whispered, pushing his hips against her.
Lucy gasped as he pulled off her jacket and tossed it on a nearby chair. His hands caressed her bare arms and she shuddered. His hands were strong, with long fingers tenderly moving across her skin. The pads of his fingertips were a little rough as they touched her. “So soft,” he murmured before he leaned in and gave her shoulder a gentle kiss.
Lucy tilted her head back as he trailed kisses down her neck. He glanced up at her for a moment, as if asking for permission. He ran his fingers across the swell of her breast, bending down to place a gentle kiss. “I want you. I want to know every part of you.”
“Justin,” she whispered, leaning in to kiss him again. “I want that, too.”

Review—ALL YOUR PERFECTS by Colleen Hoover

CAN A PERFECT LOVE SURVIVE A LIFETIME BETWEEN TWO IMPERFECT PEOPLE?
ALL Y

OUR PERFECTS
COLLEEN HOOVER
ON SALE JULY 17, 2018

The #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends with Us—whose writing is “emotionally wrenching and utterly original” (Sara Shepard, New York Times bestselling author of the Pretty Little Liarsseries)—delivers a tour de force novel about a troubled marriage and the one old forgotten promise that might be able to save it.

Quinn and Graham have a perfect love story, but their unique connection is threatened by their imperfect marriage. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart, day by heartbreaking day. The one thing that could save them might also be the very thing that pushes their marriage beyond the point of repair. So do they risk it? Is their history worth saving?

All Your Perfects is a profound novel about a damaged couple struggling with a relatable issue – infertility – whose potential future hinges on promises made in the past. In Colleen Hoover’s inimitable style and brilliant narrative voice, this heartbreaking page-turner asks: Can a resounding love with a fairytale beginning survive a lifetime between two imperfect people?

If you only shine light on your flaws, all your perfects will dim.”

How does she do it? How? Every time I’m going through something traumatic and I feel like I’m all alone, a Colleen Hoover book comes out when I need it most. ConfessIt Ends With Us, and Without Merit all dealt with subject matters that I was personally going through at the time of their publications. So again I ask the question. How? All Your Perfects are the words I didn’t know I needed to hear.

“I probably didn’t notice because sadness is like a spiderweb. You don’t see it until you’re caught up in it, and then you have to claw at yourself to try to break free.”

If you’re wondering if she did it again...fuck yeah she did! Very beautifully, I might add. This is a story about the complexities of marriage and all it comes with it. The highs, the lows, and eventually the indifference that sometimes sneaks up on you when you least expect it. Graham and Quinn met on crappy circumstances that ended up being a blessing in disguise for them both. Now years later, the beautiful spark that ignited from the moment they met, is on the verge of going out for good. Is there a way to save what has been lost?

“My husband’s heart is my saving grace, but his physical touch has become my enemy.”

I realize that a lot of you like to go into Hoover books blind— I don’t blame you, because I do too. So for those that don’t, you need not worry about me spoiling the main plot line for you. I love CoHo books because she writes in a simplistic yet very beautiful way on subjects that are realistic. Women (and men) are able to connect in some way or form in every book she writes. I guarantee you that many will see part of themselves in the main characters.

Graham and Quinn are probably one of the best couples she’s written to date. I feel like I say that every time her books come out though. The new couple finds some way to up the last ones that were written. The issues this particular couple faces is heartbreaking. I wanted them to work—I rooted, cheered, and cried right along with them. I loved how they loved each other. When they were going through the lowest times of their lives, the love was still present—even if they were unable to show it.

“I miss you, Quinn. So much. You’re right here, but you aren’t. I don’t know where you went or when you left, but I have no idea how to bring you back. I am so alone. We live together. We eat together. We sleep together. But I have never felt more alone in my entire life.”

The story is told in Then and Now intervals. We are taken back in time to when they first met and how it wasn’t exactly a “meet-cute” but started something that ended up turning into everything. I enjoyed the present day storyline a lot more—mainly because I wanted to know how these two imperfect characters would find a way back to each other. If they even could.

Overall, All Your Perfects is an intense read that will no doubt tug at your heartstrings. Luckily, it has balance to the intensity in the Then chapters. Which are full of swoon-worthy goodness. Hoover fans, prepare yourselves for another five star read.

“As if he knows this, I feel his arms slide around me. His loving, caring, selfless arms pull me to him, and even though we’re on opposite sides of this war, he refuses to pick up his weapons. My face is now pressed against his chest and I am so broken. So broken.”

Blog Tour Review + Giveaway—The Archivist (The Librarian Chronicles #2) by Christy Sloat

The Archivist by Christy Sloat
Genre: Upper YA
Series: The Librarian Chronicles #2 (companion novels)

"With the whimsy of Alice in Wonderland and the romance of Outlander dive back into the next installment in the Librarian Chronicles."

Savannah Preston has a rare and precious gift: The ability to time travel through books. She, and others who share this unique ability, are faced with the insurmountable task of preserving history. They are known collectively as The Librarians.

While researching infamous Scottish outlaw Sir Malcolm Wash during the raging conflicts of the 14th Century, Savannah loses the only thing that tethers her to her own time. She must rely on her knowledge of both the present and the past to survive long enough to find a way home. Along the way, she enlists the help of a misfit named Eoin. With his guidance, she might just get home. It’s a risky and dangerous adventure, but then, so is Eoin…

Review:
Calling all bookworms! The Archivist gives us a young woman much like ourselves. She’s a bookworm, down to earth, and one that we can completely relate to in every way possible. The best thing about this particular series is that it involves women that go back into time to retrieve correct facts on our history—they’re called the Librarians.  It’s magical, it’s fun, and oh so romantic!

Samantha—aka Mollie when she’s time traveling—is stuck in 14th century Scotland gaining information on Sir Malcolm Wash. When the bracelet that links her to modern day goes missing, Samantha must find a way back before it’s too late and she’s lost forever.

The romance was very sweet and brought out the charm of the whole book. I enjoyed The Archivist as it was fun and magical. Who doesn’t love books that can completely take them away? This is the second book in the series but I believe it can be read as a stand-alone.
