Blurb:
The second in the Chasing Fire series, about a pain too deep to forgive and a passion too hot to forget…

Alessandra Sinclair knows that Hudson Chase is the last man she should want. The boy from the wrong side of the tracks has grown into a man who would do anything to get ahead, even if it means breaking Allie’s heart. But whenever she’s near him, the attraction between them is undeniable. And now that they’re working together, keeping her distance from Hudson is almost as impossible as keeping her feelings in check…

Hudson already lost Allie once and he refuses to lose her again. He’s determined to use their new business partnership to rekindle the spark he knows is still there. Only the closer he gets to winning her over, the clearer it becomes there are still secrets that could tear them apart for good…

Review:
With the way things were left in book one, Remind Me, it's no wonder I quickly had to snap up the second book. Faced with tragedy after tragedy, it's all Allie can do to keep holding on. After Hudson betrayed her, she's left with a million broken pieces that used to be her heart. Allie wants nothing to do with him; but Hudson has other plans. He isn't letting her go again, nope. He aims to win and Hudson always gets what he wants. Will love conquer all? Can Allie forgive Hudson for the terrible heartache and pain he's caused her?

I honestly enjoyed the story so much more than the first one. We got to know Hudson more as a character and what I saw, I liked. If it's even possible, it made me like him that much more when we would see the more vulnerable side of him. The writing was just as superb as the first book, sort of like watching a movie in my head. How can anyone go wrong with that? And can we talk about those SEX scenes? Talk about scorching-fuckin'-hot. In that order too! Hudson and Allie's chemistry is so undeniable, it leaps right off the page.  Straight into your heart (as well as some other regions!).

Overall, I'm thinking with the ending I read that I need the third and final book on my kindle now. It's one of those moments that having you screeching out loud wishing you could dive right on in to the next one. Good thing I don't have to wait too long to get it. Contemporary romance please tell me that you've started these books! You're missing out on so much sexy by not reading it. I would go as far as
to say it's a disservice not to know who Hudson Chase is. Sex, romance, angst, and a fan-fucking-tactic plot? Hell yes, it has everything!
