Blurb:
The sexual tension is palpable; the erotic path they’re on is inevitable.

Haylee Holloway has experienced more grief than a twenty-two year old should have to endure. When she moves to LA for a fresh start and takes a job as an assistant for an advertising company the last thing she expects is to have to step in last minute during a photo shoot as the model. Her bikini line and weight are suddenly open topics of discussion, and a client’s million dollar campaign is hanging in the balance. To cap it off, the multi-millionaire, gorgeous owner of the company shows up and takes charge.

Josh Singer, the owner of Gamble Advertising is private, intense, and hard to read. His voice is sexy, his eyes are smoldering and when he learns of Haylee’s goal to save money for law school, he makes her an offer she can’t refuse:
To move to New York City and work for him directly as his assistant.

Haylee’s dilemma: how does she travel the world with a HOT boss whose voice alone conjures up an erotic fantasy and not completely make a fool of herself? Frustrated with Josh’s mixed signals, Haylee finally puts it all on the line. Blurring both their professional and personal lives can they keep things temporary as planned or will they both realize some things weren’t meant to end?

Full Length Standalone book with no cliffhanger. First book of the “Something Series”
This book is for mature audiences only

Interview:

1. I'm so happy to have you on the blog today! We'd all love to get to know YOU just as much as we want to know about your books. But first things first, how are you?

Thank you so much for having me! I’m doing really well. The last couple weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions for sure with the release of my first book!

2. You just had a book recently come out in June called Tell Me Something. Could you tell us a little bit about what it's about?

It’s about Haylee Holloway who is twenty-two years old and alone in the world since losing her parents. She’s trying to save for law school and working as an administrative assistant. The book starts out where she is at a client’s photo shoot and has to step in for the model. She’s down to earth and self-deprecating with her sense of humor so when she meets Josh Singer, the owner of her company she’s not quite sure what to do with his serious and hard to read persona. By the end of the night he’s given her an opportunity to save money for law school over the next few months by working for him directly and moving to New York. The dilemma is that she’s really attracted to him and can’t quite figure out if he feels the same. Having to travel the world with just the two of them gives plenty of opportunity to figure out if he might feel the same.

From there it’s a journey from casual office fling to getting to know one another and working through individual obstacles. Both of them plan on this being temporary but as the end date draws near, they struggle with saying goodbye. They both have to acknowledge and then figure out a way to get beyond their trust issues: Josh with a messy divorce and Haylee with the fear of abandonment.

3. Will this be a series? Stand-alone? Why did you decide to pursue this route?

This is the first book to the “Something Series” however it is a stand-alone book. I decided to make this book stand-alone because we’ve all been there with a book that is a cliff-hanger. Some people like it-I only like it if the next book is already out-the wait is too brutal otherwise. Plus I love a HEA in a book and really worked to develop not only the main characters but the secondary ones so that people would want them to have their own story. The result has been fantastic as people will ask me if certain characters get their own book later and the answer is YES. And the best part in my opinion is that you get to follow along with the lives of the first couple in the next books. It’s like a glimpse beyond the book into characterslives that you’ve already invested in. Ask Me Something will be out by the end of the year about Sasha and Brian (two characters featured in this book).

4. Where did the idea of Tell Me Something come from?

I wish I had some sort of backstory for the characters, but they truly popped up in my head and developed over the years. However it really didn’t take off until I changed my style of writing to what I refer to as “Smutty Chick-lit.” I love witty Chick lit books, but by the end of most of them, I’m left wishing they had sex scenes. So I combined the two which really allowed Haylee’s sense of humor, sarcasm and thoughts come out (as well as my personality) plus some steamy scenes between the two of them. Once I switched from he/she said the book really came together.

5. What sets your book apart from other books?

This isn’t a love at first sight book. Their feelings take time to develop as they get to know one another and you see the progression throughout the book

Also it’s written (until the epilogue) in Haylee’s POV. She doesn’t know what Josh is thinking and neither do we. I feel like that is much more relatable to every female out there who has tried to guess what a man’s motivation is or what may be on his mind upon meeting him, talking with him, getting to know him. You have to guess right along with her. Sometimes it’s funny; sometimes it’s frustratingas you may have a different perception of his character than she’s feeling in the moment.

6. Do you have a favorite place to write?

My favorite place to write is when I travel for work whether it is in the hotel room, train, plane, etc. My mind is inspired by something I’ve seen or envisioned because I’m out of my normal routine. I then like to incorporate some of those places into my books.

7. Coke or Pepsi?

I’m a complete Coke addict!!

8. Where can readers find you on social media?

Twitter: (I’m new here): https://twitter.com/AubreyBondurant

9. What's your favorite book? Favorite movie?

My favorite book is Bared to You by Sylvia day. Her flow of writing, ability to tell a story and compelling characters are inspiring.

My favorite movie is Love Actually. (perhaps there is a theme of weaving stories connected) J

10. Do you have any advice for aspiring writers?

Yes. Don’t let another day pass with things on your c drive of your computer. It’s scary to put anything out there, but find a beta reader/editor that will review your work and more importantly guide you in the process. Sometimes it takes an unbiased opinion to encourage you to take the next step!
