Synopsis:
When Gia Montgomery's boyfriend, Bradley, dumps her in the parking lot of her high school prom, she has to think fast. After all, she'd been telling her friends about him for months now. This was supposed to be the night she proved he existed. So when she sees a cute guy waiting to pick up his sister, she enlists his help. The task is simple: be her fill-in boyfriend— two hours, zero commitment, a few white lies. After that, she can win back the real Bradley.

The problem is that days after prom, it's not the real Bradley she's thinking about, but the stand-in. The one whose name she doesn't even know. But tracking him down doesn't mean they're done faking a relationship. Gia owes him a favor and his sister intends to see that he collects: his ex-girlfriend's graduation party — three hours, zero commitment, a few white lies.

Just when Gia begins to wonder if she could turn her fake boyfriend into a real one, Bradley comes waltzing back into her life, exposing her lie, and threatening to destroy her friendships and her new-found relationship.

Review:
When it comes to Kasie West, she can do no wrong. All of her books are funny, sweet, and full of swoon-worthy romance. The Fill-In Boyfriend was all that and more. Gia has her whole life planned out. You know what she doesn't have planned is her boyfriend breaking up with her. On prom night! Who does that? Well Gia gets desperate and a guy she finds sitting in his truck out in the parking lot is the lucky guy she's going to make her official date. Gia is one of those girls who cares a lot about what people think of her, more specifically her friends. So the opportunity to use mystery boy she deems as fill-in Bradley, is all too perfect. Until it isn't.

Lying to her friends isn't an easy feat, especially when a friend in the group is dead set on making her life miserable. But Gia sees something in fill-in Bradley that she never felt before; she felt like she could actually be who she wants to be. That's probably a sign that maybe the friends you have aren't all that great. But being a teenager can be so hard! Especially when having to start over.

The start of the book was classic...boy leaving girl right before prom. I immediately knew I would like the heroine despite the fact that she seemed a bit superficial. But she wasn't really like that at all and that's what I loved. I just wish that maybe she should have just communicated with her friends
instead of acting the way she did. Then maybe she wouldn't have ended up where she did.

So the romance... Sigh. So good! I don't want to tell you what the hero's name is because it's sort of a mystery at first. But I loved him. He is everything I think a guy should be. Plus his sister, Bec, rocks. Like seriously, she's awesome and I wish we could get a book with her as the main character.

Of course when you lie, there's always going to be a time when those lies catch up to. Plus you can't forget the consequences. Filled with her trademark humor and easy storylines, you won't want to miss out on this sweet book. I fully recommend The Fill-In Boyfriend to readers who need some love and romance in their lives.
