Review-
Calling all historical fiction, paranormal romance, and steampunk fans! If you haven't started this series yet, what are you waiting for? It has everything from a great plot line, lovely characters, sexual tension to die for, and more sexual tension. It's one of the types of books where you're more than satisfied in the end. Hint, hint.

Evernight is the fifth book in the Darkest London series that follows an array of characters. Each book is a different couple and different storylines. But everything always adds up in the end.

Holly Evernight and Will Thorne are probably my favorite couple to have read about so far. Their story is a bit different and I liked how for a short time, Thorne seemed to hate Holly and of course he tried to kill her. I don't know about you, but that just makes all that yummy tension so much better.

I'm sure for those of you that have read all the books know that absolutely horrific circumstances that both Holly and Will had to endure. If you haven't, well you won't hear about what it was from me. Just that this book starts a year after the initial proceedings from the other book.

Holly is an elemental, along with being an inventor. In fact, she can control metal. Which just so happens to be where Mr.Thorne comes in. See, he has a clockwork heart and is basically a metal man. Hence, Holly being able to control him. And the sole reason for Will wanting to get revenge on her, since she played a part in making him the way he is. She's his only saving grace if you will, because when she touches him, all his pain and suffering go away. He's definitely put at her mercy.

But.

Both Evernight and Thorne strike up a deal with each other. Holly will be Will's personal body relief, while Thorne will be Holly's personal protector from all the bad people who want her dead.

Hm, I wonder how this will all work out?

See, where this is going? How can you not want to read it? There's so much going on that had definitely kept me turning page after page. I believe each book gets better and better and I'll be counting down the days until the sixth book comes out. And I am even more excited about the next couple!!

Overall, I give Evernight four stars for originality and for being such a great book to take my mind off boring and trivial things. If you're looking for a new series to dive into, now would be the time to start the Darkest London series.

              About this author

Kristen Callihan is a child of the 80’s, which means she's worn neon skirts, black-lace gloves, and combat boots (although never all at once) and can quote John Hughes movies with the best of them. A life long daydreamer, she finally realized that the characters in her head needed a proper home and thus hit the keyboard. She believes that falling in love is one of the headiest experiences a person can have, so naturally she writes romance. Her love of superheroes, action movies, and history led her to write historical paranormals. She lives in the Washington D.C. area and, when not writing, looks after two children, one husband, and a dog — the fish can fend for themselves.
