Review:
Have you ever read a book where the premise was so unbelievable and ridiculous that you couldn't possibly read on? Your mind is telling you to stop the madness and to just put the book down! Well, Ive definitely read something unbelievable alright. So unbelievable that I couldn't stop reading it! And the more I read, the more I wanted to know. You know what happens when you just have to know what happens, right? You finish the ridiculous book in one sitting and grin the whole way through!

Unrequited is a book about about Kat, a girl who unfortunately gets stuck with having to take her younger sisters to the boy band, Unrequited. On the way to the concert, she meets a mysteriously, beautiful boy but not only does she not get his number, she doesn't get his name.

While at the concert, Kat is minding her own business when the lead singer, Angus, notices Kat in the crowd dancing to a different tune. In fact, he knows she's dancing to a different tune because the girl in question has her head phones in!

Obviously, Angus gets enthralled and tries to reach Kat the only way we know how now a days, through social media! It starts a frenzy and with the help of Kat's best friend and little sisters, well let's just say Kat's life will never be the same.

'Unrequited' is not a love triangle in the least, it's a love square. It involves four people and it's completely bogus and plain fun. Throughout the book, you're left wondering why these people can be so blind. I know who I wanted everyone to be with but why oh why couldn't these characters see it?

This book is such a great read! You need to go in with an open mind because as I've stated, the premise is unbelievable but sometimes you need that in your life. I loved being able to go on such a fun adventure with these characters and I wouldn't be too sad if there was another book!

Overall, I think you should pick up Unrequited asap and I recommend this to anyone who loves romance.

Release Day Launch feat Giveaway- The Fine Art of Pretending by Rachel Harris

THE FINE ART OF PRETENDING Synopsis:

According to the guys at Fairfield Academy, there are two types of girls: the kind you hook up with, and the kind you're friends with. Seventeen-year-old Alyssa Reed is the second type. And she hates it. With just one year left to change her rank, she devises a plan to become the first type by homecoming, and she sets her sights on the perfect date—Justin Carter, Fairfield Academy’s biggest hottie and most notorious player.

With 57 days until the dance, Aly launches Operation Sex Appeal and sheds her tomboy image. The only thing left is for Justin actually to notice her. Enter best friend Brandon Taylor, the school’s second biggest hottie, and now Aly’s pretend boyfriend. With his help, elevating from “funny friend” to “tempting vixen” is only a matter of time.

But when everything goes according to plan, the inevitable “break up” leaves their friendship in shambles, and Aly and Brandon with feelings they can’t explain. And the fake couple discovers pretending can sometimes cost you the one thing you never expected to want.

EXCERPT:
An exhale of breath leaves Brandon’s lips, almost like a laugh, and he scoots closer to me on the blanket. I twist my legs under myself, sitting tall as I face him. He cups my chin and tilts it toward him, drowning me in the now dark-green depths of his eyes, the cologne I gave him for his birthday filling my head. It’s woodsy and yummy and I always loved how it smelled on the store testers, but on Brandon, it’s even sexier. My eyes flutter closed, and I inhale again, this time slowly. Goose bumps prickle my arms, and my head gets fuzzy.
Brandon slides his hand down the column of my neck and brings the other up, threading his fingers through the hair at my nape. His breath fans across my cheek, and everything south of my bellybutton squeezes tight.
When his mouth first meets mine, it’s hesitant, questioning. But as I move my lips with his, he quickly grows bolder, coaxing them apart.
Desire, pure and raw, electrifies my veins as his tongue sweeps my mouth. A whimpering sound springs from my chest, and instinctively, I wrap my arms around his neck, tugging him closer. Needing more. My teeth graze his full bottom lip, and I pull it, sucking on it gently.
He moans and knots his fingers in my hair, and a thrill dances down my back.
Brandon is an amazing kisser, just as I knew he would be. I have no control over my body’s reactions. I lose myself in his lips, his tongue, and his strong arms, forgetting time and space and even my surroundings—until Gabi’s snicker brings reality crashing around us, reminding me we have an audience.
And that I’m kissing Brandon.
We break apart, out of breath, and stare into each other’s eyes.
That was unexpected.

Stay. Stay with me. Stay here. Stay close. Stay like this forever. Stay as happy as I am right here in your arms, always.

*        *        *

All I’ve ever wanted was to be loved, but if this is what true love is…I’m not so sure I want it anymore. It also makes me wonder if any of my memories of our once happy marriage are even real. Maybe I just conjured up the fairy tale in my head because I wanted…no…needed it so much. Who the hell knows?

“Molly just called to remind you about your book club meeting this afternoon.” He turns away. “I told her you’ve never missed a meeting and I doubt today would be any different.”

The door shuts behind him before I let a smile creep across my lips. Instantly, the hurt from this morning flees my mind and I feel nothing but giddiness. I have a book club meeting today, and let’s just say it’s not your everyday book club.

Sure, my husband may never truly love me again…but who needs love when you’re about to get an eyeful of hot firemen?

*        *        *

Tell Me You Love Me is the first in a four-book series called Fire Me Up—a sweet romantic comedy series about a group of sassy neighborhood women who have a serious love for steamy romance novels and sexy firemen. Lucky for them the local firehouse is just a few steps away and is in no shortage of hot firefighters to fill their wild imaginations.

Release Day Blitz Review feat Giveaway- Love Nouveau by B.L. Berry

Love Nouveau

Blurb

The only thing inevitable in love is despair.

I knew from the start that he was going to wreck me.

Nothing could have prepared me for the day he walked into my life… or the day he walked out of it.

I self-destructed.

All that remained was a shell of the girl I once was.

SHATTERED.

And I don’t know if I’ll ever recover.

Excerpt

Silence passes between us and he nudges my elbow with his. Reaching out for my hand again, he delicately traces the inside of my palm where he kissed it yesterday with his fingertip. Goosebumps rise and my body hums with anticipation. I turn to look him in the eye again and he has a charming, yet shy, look on his face.

For the love of all that is holy…lean over and kiss me, already!

“You know … if you’re wondering whether or not I want to,” he pauses for a quick breath and stares at my lips before continuing. “I want to. Or rather, I want you to.”

I can hardly control myself and double over in laughter.

“What?” Phoenix asks, his eyebrows knit together.

“I cannot believe you just said that! You just turned one of my most favorite songs into a cheesy pickup line!”

He chuckles softly and tries to pull me back toward him. “Yeah, you got me. At least now I have confirmation that you have good taste in music.”

Pfft. As if there were ever any doubt. I’m becoming increasingly more aware of how he works. Clearly he has issues making the first move, but once the door is open, the shy guy dissolves.

We stare at each other in silence … staring through each other … his hazel eyes pleading for what we both want to say … for what we both want to do.

For something that has been so easy to do so many times before, I’m surprised by my nervousness.

Then, as if on cue, the world starts moving in slow motion. I watch Phoenix close his eyes and lean toward me, and I swear … I swear I see his lips quiver.

“Ivy…” he whispers. My name tastes of chocolate and caramel from the cupcakes we shared and my heart sighs at the sound of my name rolling off of his tongue.

I lean forward and close the gap between us, running my fingertips down his face and committing his stubble to memory as I slowly part his lips with mine.

I fall into this kiss…

Fall into him…

Fall for him.

This kiss. God, this kiss is deliciously slow like honey. Instantly I can feel it everywhere in my body, blazing in my palm … my chest … my toes. He takes his time, his hands outlining my neck to my shoulders and down to my arms.

I kiss him like I’m starving and I only now realize that I have been hungry for the past twenty-two years, savoring every last bite, committing it to memory for both the present and the afterlife. I take my time memorizing his mouth with my tongue.

The fresh taste of his lips …

The way his arms envelop me, delicate but firm …

The tender moan that rises from the back of his throat …

I’ve come undone.

Pulling back, I watch him bring his fingertips to his lips in wonder. When his lips struck mine, tiny sparks jumped. Heat flashed. Instant combustion.

With that one kiss, an ember hidden deep inside my soul awakened a sleeping shadow. A kindling in my hollows started a slow burn. The ember becomes light, a twin flame illuminating my heart.

It’s strange to think that something as innocent as pressing one’s lips to another’s can so drastically alter the course of your entire life. But with that single kiss, I know that he is important.

That single kiss has changed everything.

Everything.

Review-
Love Nouveau is a debut novel that's full of life and love. One day I was casually scrolling Facebook, as I usually do, just minding my own business. When a certain cover of a book caught my eye. It was a book that was being pimped. Now I normally try to stay away from these groups because I feel like I get a million different notifications a day from them. Anyways, this particular book caught my eye.

I went and read the synopsis and I was sold. I had to HAVE this book. I just had to. Well, I got it and I couldn't have been more happy with the outcome.

The story starts off with Ivy coming back from a year abroad in Italy studying art history. While in Italy, she learns her sister is getting married and she couldn't be more thrilled. No, actually she's not. See, Ivy and her family don't exactly get along. At all. They are those rich folks that think they are better than everyone, and the type that are all about appearances. They were not happy when they learned Ivy was getting into art and not a more "prominent" job. Such as a lawyer or a doctor.

The night she arrives in the states where her college is located, she meets a boy. Not just any boy, a special one. The type that makes you fall in love. His name is Phoenix and he's completely, and absolutely swoonworthy. First and foremost, he's a gentlemen, and he listens, I mean really listens to Ivy. From that day forward, nothing will ever be the same between them.

Throughout the book, both Ivy and Phoenix have a long distance relationship of sorts. Every night they talk and with those nights, they grow closer and closer. I loved this aspect because it goes to show that relationships aren't just about the sex. There's such thing as getting to know each other and falling with just words alone.

There were instances where i would have loved to smack Ivy because of assumptions she made. Then I gave her the benefit of the doubt because let'a face every girl has done what she's done. Also I really felt for her; she got the shitty end of the stick when it came to families. That mother, if you can even call her that, she makes the evil step mother look nice. If that can give you any idea how she may be.

If your looking for a new book that focuses on a girl who learns what it's like to live and live for her, this is the book for you. It also focuses on finding love, family, and what it means to follow your dreams.

Release Day Blitz- Stepbrother Dearest by Penelope Ward

Stepbrother Dearest
By Penelope Ward
Release Date: September 29, 2014

Book Summary:

You’re not supposed to want the one who torments you.

When my stepbrother, Elec, came to live with us my senior year, I wasn’t prepared for how much of a jerk he’d be.

I hated that he took it out on me because he didn’t want to be here.
I hated that he brought girls from our high school back to his room.
But what I hated the most was the unwanted way my body reacted to him.

At first, I thought all he had going for him were his rock-hard tattooed abs and chiseled face. Then, things started changing between us, and it all came to a head one night.

Just as quickly as he’d come into my life, he was gone back to California.

It had been years since I’d seen Elec.

When tragedy struck our family, I’d have to face him again.

And holy hell, the teenager who made me crazy was now a man that drove me insane.

I had a feeling my heart was about to get broken again.

Stepbrother Dearest is a standalone novel.

**Contains graphic sexual content and harsh language. It is only appropriate for adult readers age 18

Review-
Ever since I first saw a teaser of Penelope's newest book, I knew I had to get my hands on it. Forbidden romance can never get old with all of its sexual tension and the guilty pleasure of its forbidden-ness. Step-siblings? Um, check and mate. Please sign me up!

The book starts off with Greta as a seventeen year old girl who is getting to meet her step-brother Elec for the first time. When she first meets him she can't help but notice how beautiful he is. While he may be very attractive, Elec's a "huge dick". No, really he's an asshole!

Like Greta though, I was able to look passed him being a douchebag because I was intrigued. Who was this beautiful, broody boy? And why do I feel like he'll set my loins on fire? Kidding, kidding. Well... Kind of. Anyways, he's an asshat to Greta, yet she never tells him where he can stick it. It's almost as if she can tell there's more to him than meets the eye.

One night changes everything and Greta will truly never be the same. The next seven years of her life will be spent a bit lifeless in some ways. She basically goes through the motions everyday.

When tragedy strikes, Greta and Elec find themselves coming face to face after all these years. Tensions are high in more ways than one and Greta still hasn't ever let go of their past.

Step-Brother Dearest was a book filled with so much angst and yummy goodness that's Elec. I could totally see the appeal of him and why Greta never stood a chance. My heart was a mix of emotions and at times I felt I would get emotional whiplash from it all.

The sex. Yes, there's sex and it's as hot as you imagined it. Sexual tension and sex in books can make or break it for me. This story definitely excelled in that department and I can honestly say that Ward outdid herself. I read one particular scene more than once or twice. Who's counting? Just make sure you are ready to take a shower if need be.

I liked that the book wasn't just about the sex. The writing flows well and is easy to read. Step-Brother Dearest can be seen as emotional and at times dramatic but other times I actually laughed. Books that can make you feel that way are keepers. Nothing ever was too over the top and ridiculous that it was unbelievable. The story was as real as the sun. In mind at least.

The characters were one of kind and you easily fall in love with them. The type of characters that can't possibly be fictional because they're just that bad ass!
